Google launches new search algorithm to favour mobile-friendly sites

Mobilegeddon is upon us when Google launched a major new search algorithm on April 21 to favour sites that are mobile-friendly. Nearly 60% of online traffic comes from mobile devices and Google wants users to have the best experience regardless of what device they're on. This means easy to read text, links sufficiently spaced and content that fits the width of smaller screens.

A responsive site means the sites will adapt to the screen space available. To date a responsive site has been important for a great user experience and as of April 21 it is even more important for search rankings as Google will reward sites with mobile-friendly designs.

We have checked Smallbox responsive sites with Google's Mobile-Friendly Test and the results are "Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly."
