More than 37,000 Canadians die from smoking-related illness every year. These deaths are preventable. Smallbox started working with BC Lung on the QuitNow.ca project in 2009. We developed the QuitNow and Win contest which had a $10,000 grand prize. The response was overwhelming and we knew we needed to build on the interest and provide additional tools, aids and information to help people quit smoking.

Community engagement was, and remains, the solution. Members of QuitNow are active in the community and share in each others' strengths and vulnerabilities. Smallbox delivers several interactive tools to inform, engage and guide users on their journey to quit smoking. QuitNow.ca and the Smallbox enrolment database is just shy of 50,000 members. Reading the forum makes us so delighted to deliver the service we do.
